"Pasta Pomodoro" (restaurant at Vintage Oaks) will donate 20% of any dine-in or to-go order on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday for the rest of the year to the Lynwood Family Literacy Program. Diners will need to present a flyer to the waiter or hostess. There are flyers available in the office, and in room 46. This is a generous effort on the part of the restaurant and of our Lynwood community to support the Literacy Program, now in its seventh year.

Dear Parents and Students, Welcome to Lynwood Elementary School No Excuses College Prep, building bridges to college. I am so pleased to begin my eighth year as Principal of this wonderful school. I look forward to continuing the work with our parents as partners. It is only, by working together, parents, staff and students, that we can provide the best education for our children. As you know, we are dedicated to providing our students the education they need to go to college. Our No excuses philosophy will be stronger than ever this year. Students – Congratulations on your commitment to working hard to meet your goal to go to college and doing whatever it takes. There are many ways to become involved at Lynwood. We have a very active PTA (Parent Teacher Association), ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee) and School Leadership Team. All meetings are open to the public. Parents are encouraged to volunteer at school (as reading partners, art docents, in our school garden, and special projects) and in classrooms (as room parents, regularly, and for school trips, special projects, etc.) Of course we strongly encourage you to attend the many events such as Back to School Night, Kermes Festival, International Dinner, Open House, etc. We know you will become an active member of our Lynwood school community.
